Shelley Reynolds graduated from Florida State School of Law in April of 1989 and was admitted to The Florida Bar that same year in December . She continued her career at the State Attorney's Office in Escambia County from 1989 to 1992.
In 2001, Ms. Reynolds returned to the State Attorney's Office in Escambia County. During her work at the State Attorney's Office, Ms. Reynolds worked in the adult division as well as in the Juvenile Division. In Juvenile, Ms. Reynolds handled many judge trials and it was during this period Ms. Reynolds felt most helpful to the families of young troubled children. If asked, Ms. Reynolds will tell you that this was a very positive period in her career.
Ms. Reynolds moved back to adult prosecutions. July of 2005 Ms. Reynolds resigned from the State Attorney's Office to start her own legal practice. She opened "The Law Office of Shelley Guy Reynolds, PA" in August of 2005 practicing Family and Criminal Law. In 2007, Ms Reynolds decided to concentrate on her Criminal Law Practice which she is dedicated to 100%.
In addition to her private clients, Ms. Reynolds has handled State Conflict Cases in both Adult and Juvenile Courts since 2005. In January of 2008, Ms. Reynolds was accepted in the Federal Bar for the Northern District of Florida. Then later that year Ms. Reynolds became a member of the Federal CJA panel handling criminal conflict cases in the Northern District of Florida. Then, in 2010, due to her junevile experience, Mrs. Reynolds contracted with the Juvenile Public Defender's office for over 3 months to cover her friend's division while out on maternity leave.
Ms. Reynolds is a member in good standing with the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (NACDL), Florida Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (FACDL), Escambia Santa Rosa Bar Association, Northwest Florida Association of Women Lawyers as well as Inns of Court from 2008 to present.
