Wyndi L. Wheaton was born and raised in a small Cajun town in south Louisiana. In the summer of 2009, she moved to Pace, FL with her U.S. Navy husband and their children.

Professional Experience:
Mrs. Wheaton was employed as a Legislative Researcher for the Hawaii House of Representatives in Honolulu, HI for the 2005 legislative session. She researched and analyzed session bills of fiscal import and briefed members of the House and Finance leadership. She also represented the interests of the State of Hawaii and the House Finance Committee in drafting legislation, resolutions, and committee reports.
 
From 2006-2008, Mrs. Wheaton worked as an Associate Attorney with Aleksandra H. Bronsted, P.C. in Atlanta, GA, where she represented plaintiffs in workers’ compensation, personal injury, and negligent security litigation.
 
As a Staff Attorney with Legal Services of North Florida (LSNF) in Pensacola, Florida from 2011-2016, Mrs. Wheaton represented and advised thousands of low-income Deepwater Horizon oil spill individuals and businesses. She recovered $4 - $6 million in compensation for oil spill victims. While with LSNF, Mrs. Wheaton was part of the Gulf Justice Consortium, a joint venture of legal-aid programs designed to address issues arising from the Deepwater Horizon oil spill. With the Gulf Justice Consortium, she identified systemic issues and successfully advocated for changes to the compensation formula and methodology to increase equality and fundamental fairness for all oil spill claimants. During her time with LSNF, Mrs. Wheaton also advocated for special needs dependent children as an attorney ad litem.
 
In 2016, Mrs. Wheaton opened a solo practice, Wheaton Law Firm, PLLC, in Pace, FL where she primarily practices in family law matters. She is compassionate and motivated to seek her client’s best interests. 
 
Professional Contribution and Recognition:
Gulf Justice Consortium was presented with the John Minor Wisdom Public Service & Professionalism Award by the American Bar Association’s Section of Litigation in April 2012.
