Virginia was born and raised in Pensacola, Florida and attended the University of Florida where she graduated in 2008 cum laude with her Bachelor of Science. After University of Florida, she returned to Pensacola where she worked full time and went to school full time at University of West Florida and earned her masters. Virginia was then accepted into the Thomas R. Kline School of Law at Drexel University. While there, she excelled in classes, and enjoyed being a part of many different organizations. Virginia was a member of the Veterans Law Society, Family Law Society, and International Law Society. She was a mentor to younger law school students through the First Year Mentor Program. In her last year, she was asked to be a teaching assistant for the family law class that she excelled in the previous year.

While in Philadelphia, completed over 100 hours of pro bono during her law school career with the Senior LAW center that supports seniors in the state of Pennsylvania and the Marshall Brennan Project which teaches constitutional law to underprivileged high schools in the Philadelphia area. All law school students are required to perform a minimum of 50 hours of pro bono service to graduate, but Virginia went beyond that requirement. Virginia significantly exceeded the 50-hour requirement, and received a Pro Bono Recognition Award and was specially acknowledged in the graduation for her service to the community.

At the law school graduation, Virginia was awarded the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers Eric D. Turner Award. This award is given to the graduating student who, in the opinion of the law school’s faculty, best exemplifies the positive attributes of a matrimonial lawyer: academic excellence; competence as a practitioner; commitment to the practice and development of family law, including assisting the indigent and improving the quality of the administration of justice in the field of family law; and meeting the highest standards for ethical behavior.

Virginia belongs to many alumni chapters and stays in contact with fellow Gators, Argonauts and Dragons. She belongs to the UF Alumni, UWF Alumni, Drexel University Alumni, and the Alumni Network of Drexel Law.

Virginia has been involved with Fiesta and Fiesta Forces for a long time. The Fiesta Forces, over 400 members, is the volunteer manpower behind all the local events which Fiesta coordinates including but not limited to the yearly Pensacola Crawfish Festival, the Pensacola Seafood Festival, and Children’s Treasure Hunts. The Fiesta Forces help build pride in Pensacola. This year Virginia was nominated and accepted the position as a Fiesta Commando. The Commandos are a small group of veteran volunteers who organize and coordinate the hundreds of Fiesta Forces.

Virginia served on the Children’s Home Society special events committee before leaving for Philadelphia. Now that she has returned, she plans to get involved again with the annual Children’s Home Society of Florida “Soundside Splendor” on Pensacola Beach. Each year through the generous help of our sponsors and guests, hundreds of thousands of dollars are raised to help stop child abuse in Escambia, Santa Rosa, Okaloosa and Walton counties. These funds help local children grow up protected, healthy and prepared for life. Virginia’s expertise and event planning experience coupled with her contacts within the event business in the local area help secure low costs and services to increase the amount raised for the children.

Virginia also belongs to the Pensacola Young Professionals (PYP). This local group of young professionals’ network, volunteers, and makes a difference in the community through leadership. PYP has partnerships with many local charities and non-profits, and give back to the community in a tangible and meaningful way. Virginia is passionately committed to celebrating our city and making the Pensacola Bay Area better through educating and engaging members and the community.
